B2 First (Formerly known as FCE)
B2 First demonstrates that students have the necessary language skills to converse effectively in an English-speaking context. It’s aimed towards B2 students.
B2 First is available in two formats: B2 First for Schools, which is designed for school-aged students, and B2 First, which is designed for adults in general and those in higher education.
The B2 First: FCE Exam consists of four main papers. These are Reading and Use of English, Speaking, Listening and Writing. The exam takes 3.5 hours to complete:
Reading and Use of English: 1 hour 15 minutes
Writing: 1 hour 20 minutes
Listening: about 40 minutes
Speaking: 14 minutes per pair of candidates.
